Shit Shit Shit

Lou Maltese was a total wash . Lou Malt is set up as a team thing . 18 teams of 5 , points to the top 20 places . The team with the most points wins . The plan was to get in breaks until 3 laps to go then play the pack sprint thing. Me and Dave were the designated workers at the end because we cant sprint . The race was fast right from the get go . It was clear that it was going to be a field sprint , but we hit it hard a bunch of times anway but you can only ride so fast . With 3 laps to go Dave called out over the radios to go to sprint mode . I got with Dolan and Mike . I started to move them up into the top 15 . Going into the last lap a group of 12 rolled off the front during a lull . Dolan called out over the radio not to let it go but Dave thought it was doomed seeing as it wasn't gaining and we were going slow . The last time up the hill they had like 10 seconds maybe . Dave was on the front and I had Mike and Dolan where they needed to be. Going over the top 2 Megoni guys jumped across on the right side we were on the left . When they joined the gap went up . I wasn't worried Dave was in the top 3 and with the other teams that wernt represented I was sure that it would get caught . Wrong due to the format of the race no one was willing to help him chase I had to fight to keep ding and dong in a good spot , so I was out . It was a cat and mouse chase the hole way in . I will give Dave a complement here (I don't give them out to often) he hit hard like 3 times and I kept yelling into the mic to go again and again he must have been seeing stars . Going into the last mile it was getting rough a lot of pushing and shoving I lost Mike in the mix but Dolan was still there . I was committed now so it was all on me and him with 1 k to go I thought it was still going to come together right in the sprint . I moved into the top 5 hoping that he was still on my wheel . 250 meters to go it was clear that we wernt going to catch them . With nobody in the move there was no need to sprint we were out of it so I eased off and just rolled in . FUCK !!!!!! I hate when I waste good legs.
