Sunday Ride 11/9

This weeks addition of the Sunday ride was a perfect tempo for this time of year . There were a few sorties off the front that just dangled . The first serious move came from the duo of Chris the "jelly donut" Crowell and Eric "Jeeves" Merill . They had a good gap past the ski station . The gap was about 30 seconds , with a tail wind the field didn't seem to be worried . The pace picked up on the false flat near the old meat packing plant . Then shortly after Mike Mcg made the move to go across with a few others in tow (noticeable was the Turtle) The dynamic duo up front put up a good fight with the help of Big Johnny on a motorcycle . The two groups joined at the turnaround hill but the field was right on their tails . Over the top everyone was back in the group expect Mike and Jelly Donut . On the decent Jeeves made a big push to cross the gap . The trio had a 30 second gap , or 3minute one in the eyes of Mike ? By the light in Southington it was grouppo compacto . On rt 10 it was headwind city . The group rolled in nice and peaceful . Then the ride back to Stop and Shop we got to hear how great Crowell was today . If he was only that good on race days ?

I like the Rondo ride recap better than the Hunter recap of the weekly Tuesday rides. Keep up the fine work.

You should take over on the recaps for the Sunday rides. Nice job.
