2/22

Back in the Hood. It's nice to be home , we rolled in at about 3am on Sunday . I got in a few hours sleep and was off to the Sunday ride to finish my week of training . The weather was nice when Robyn and I got to the Stop & Shop lot so I just put on the knee warmers. On the roll down rt10 the clouds started to move in and it got a little chilly but I was alright . The ride started off at a good pace which is what I wanted , the plan was to finish the training camp off strong and not to tired . Mike ,Jeeves, Kosci and me did the loin share of the work today . Don't get all pissey if I didn't say your name . It went steady hard nothing to pat yourself on the back for that's for sure . The bubble boys where not to active expect for Todd , Cupcake seemed to struggle to pull through whats up with that sweet tart (its not mid January humm ) Other notables was Guido missing the ride , meeting us along the way then having his crank fall off NICE . The first big rondevue of the season is just a week away it should be interesting. I will give a full report on the SC trip on Monday.

Aren't you sort of patting YOURSELF on the back??? And what sort of "loin" work were you doing?

Wow Nick you know how to copy and paste. I sure as hell didnt see you there . I was patting my team on the back. Also it was the truth . If you were there yoyu would know that .

Ron,

Don't you ever think that riding hard this time of year and pretty much through the winter will make you burn out for the races that matter starting near the end of June and continuing through the summer?

"Struggled pulling through" What the fuck? I spent more time into the wind than you did.

Tim you do the races you like and I'll do the one I like . We all dont have the summer off . (or the whole year for some)

Rondo said...

Crowell what black tar herion are you smoking ??? Your chubby ass and its trouble pulling through was the hot topic at the coffee shop .

Anonymous said...

poor crowell, but he turned off at stop-n-shop so he gets a dnf

Robyn said...

Leave Crowell alone. he is one of the fastest and nicest guys on the ride. I was at the coffee shop and I don't recall any conversation about Crowell not pulling through.

See Rondo...even your own wife knows you're full of shit.

Nick when your right your right . I guess I must have been groggy from the long car ride back from SC . I could have imagined the conversation went down like that . My mistake !!

I don't have the whole year off Ron, plus looking at my results from last year didn't I make the podium at least once every single month I raced? Oh yeah that's right I did. Plus I figure you have the whole year off for your brain so that should leave you extra energy for your legs.

p.s. - up to 330 yet?

Listen up, Tim. Ron has a job. Not a part-time one....a real one. He actually works for a living, has a mortgage, a wife, & a family. He doesn't live at home with his mom and work when someone else calls in sick. Now, he may not be the sharpest nail in the tool apron, and he has been known to drop a board or two on his head from time to time...but I assure you, he's juggling a lot more than you and riding pretty damn well for a man of his age. So why don't you just slide a Belinda Carlisle tape into the tape deck of that shit-box you call a car and go back to grandpa's condo in FL with your mommy? I'm going to go eat another bowl of ice cream and put on a little more weight. March aint here yet!

Nick,

Why don't you marry 320 if you love him so much? And don't knock educators, without educators (future me) and people to support them (myself- who gets called in every day) people would only be slightly above 320's intelligence. We might still be scared of fire and rain and sacrifice people to the gods and stuff.

-Tim

Rondo said...

Tim you are missing the point . Most new teachers are 24 not 32. I would be scared if you were my kids teacher , we don't need any more social misfits . I guess that's what you get in the public school system . Go Hopkins!!!!!!

320,

That's below the belt. I work my ass off to help enrich the lives of many young Americans and all you can do is bash me. Just because you spent nearly every day in high school in ISS doesn't mean you get to trash the people who try to help those who are willing to help themselves. For shame, 320, for shame.

-Tim

Rondo said...

Let me guess Tim you got stuffed in a few lockers back in the day didnt you .

Anonymous said...

Tim,

You're absolutely right. When I look back on my years of education and remember the (substitute)teacher that most influenced my life, it was the weird creepy guy that lived at home with his mom, listened to bad music, and rode his bike more than he rode women. Oh wait a minute...no it wasn't.

Nick,

Just because the only woman you ever slept with was your wife doesn't mean you should be mad at me for casually dating. What you have is special I'm sure or you should at least keep telling yourself that. And 320, I never got stuffed in my locker, I just beat up the 320's who tried because they were always weak - kind of goes along with only putting out 320 watts time trialing.

-Tim

Rondo said...

OK timmmmmmy I forgot you are a ruff guy. Just remember 320 for me isn't that bad , I don't weigh 210 like you.

Anonymous said...

Whatever 320,

I'm tired of this back and forth anyways as it is past my bedtime. I will now go to sleep so I can get up early and refreshed so I can irritate you and Nick for a whole new day and do my pre-work training, which is probably more important.

I wish I could be a teacher and work what amounts to half a year, tell a bunch of kids what to do and then cry that I don't make a lot of money! I truely am anonymous but Rondo knows who I am!

Anonymous said...

Tim,
I bet you are an excellent teacher and role modle to your students. You really seem to care and thats the first part.

Rondo said...

That's nice Timmmmmmy you had your mommy stick up for you

To the anonymous,

Teacher's do a lot of work that you don't see outside of class. They also work 10 months of the year. They also are required to have a master's degree, and earn below what the typical master's degree earns. On top of the master's degree there are several other certification requirements. If it was easy, everyone would do it. You are part of the problem with America today, they don't value education. That is why the U.S. is declining as a superpower. Most of what made us a superpower was our technology (a little not getting ravaged as much in the world wars but whatever). With lack of educational funding there are less mathematicians and physicists coming out of the U.S. and we are suffering technology wise. China is gaining on us, they are ahead in certain areas. I know this may be difficult for you to understand given your lack of value for education but it's a reality dude. I guess no country can stay on top forever though.

320,

The other anonymous person, who values education, was not my mom. Thank you other anonymous person.

Whatever Timmmmmmyyyyyy

Anonymous said...

Tim, I think you are confused.

It's not that we don't value teachers and education...it's that we don't value YOU.

Nick

OK guys lets give this one a rest . Dont make me do another . Nick & Timmmmyyyy cartoon .

Tim,
Your welcome.

This is some of the best banter between nick and tim that I have read yet. Keep it up, definately entertaining. I love the fact that tim comes back with we teachers work a whole 10 months at year. Try working 12 months a year, over 50hrs a week, every week while raising two kids both under 11 and attend their sporting events. Do that and then try racing your bike. I'd like to see how much wattage tim could do after one week of my schedule. 320 watts, 400watts, who gives a f#&k. I'm just happy that I can ride my bike (4) days a week (sometimes less) and still compete with you guys.

I'm thinking that as soon as Tim finally does get a life (assuming that it actually happens), that will be the time when he announces his "retirement".

Nick

Tim,

It's not that we don't value education it's that most of you never worked a fuckin honest day in your life and seeing as though you are so well educated it won't be hard for you to figure out that you work less than half a year. That's why you make less than others who have Masters degrees.
God I can't stand whiners.
