3/12

The racing this weekend will be exciting to say the least . I'm going to take great pleasure in watching the bubble boys defend Matt's jersey at Plainville . On the Bethel front , I will not be attending this year . I am kinda sick of it to be blunt . It such a day waster . You sit around in the morning waiting to race and don't get home until 5 or 6 at night . On top of that its only an hour race , I have found that when you get caught up in the series that you lose out on your distance training . On the weekend and during the week . I hope the break of tradition will be a good one . I think Plainville is the better race to be honest .

Now to the SGR , I didn't get to due to much seeing as I flatted before rt 68 . I had trouble getting the tire off the rim it was stuck to it I haven't had a flat all winter long . It was hectic thinking I wouldn't be able to latch back on at Peck lane . When I got back in the field I tried to get my intervals in so all wasn't lost. Boy there were some old FISHES that I haven't missed riding with since last year . (some new ones to) The last thing is where was Guido . anyone anyone

Being a non-native speaker, please Ron enlighten me is it a bad sign to be mentioned in a blog with a dead fish head pictured or is it some sort of good omen????
It smells fishy to me...

I guess April will tell (or whenever we start at 6PM)

Look forward to join you on your "distance intervals"...
We don't need no powertaps.

I hate to do this, but I have to agree with you on Bethel.

Regarding Plainville...that Matt guy doesn't need any help from the other Bubble Boys. He is a GOD!

Darwin's evolution theory couldn't make up it's mind on what's the best body type for a racer.

You should have just typed "fat", Rondo. Spelling those two syllable words like "pudgy" really throw your brain into a spasm, don't they?

And i actually agree with Rondo...
Plainville is the new Bethel

Funny thing is Nick I checked that one on spell check . Blame Microsoft . You got the jist.

WOW! Ron got a flat tire on Tuesday night. That never happens? At least you weren't riding tubulars this time. When are you going to thank me for closing the gap you made? This "pudgy" Stage One'er can't wait to see you Saturday. Smart decision missing Bethel. I can't see myself doing Bethel much this year either. Think about racing the Marblehead race on 4/5. We do it every year. It's a fun, fast circuit.

Rondo,

You're right. Matt doesn't need any help from my spare tire. You, however...

Exactly how many times do you flat in a given season?

Crowell, Ron is not calling you pudgy, he calls you cupcake...his sweet little rolly pollie. It was Nick he was calling pudgy!!

Rondo,
A guy got electricuted and died today at the Science Center site in Hartford. Early reorts are that he was in his early twenties and was working on HVAC equipment. All you guys in construction, please remember to work safe and never assume equipment is de-energized.

Sorry for the downer

dont forget to buckle your seat belts and declare all your dependants

Whomever put that kid in a situation where he got electrocuted ought to be arrested for manslaughter. Totally avoidable.

Crowel thats what lock out tag out is for no ?

Anonymous said...

It should have been used but who know's what happened. It's just a shame.

Lockout/tagout is for working on de-energized systems. Work on live circuits is OK when arcflash protection and insulated gloves and tools are used. Never should have happened. Damn shame.

There is still a lot of discussion about NFPA 70E and how it should be interpreted. Bottom line is that people get lulled into a false sense of comfort when doing the routine. Accidents happen, when people stop thinking about what they are doing.

Now lets get back to talking about bike racing and making fun of Ron.

"Accidents happen, when people stop thinking about what they are doing."

That's what Rondo's parents said for the better part of the last 40 years...or however old Rondo is.

Two other reasons not to do Bethel: Mike Connelly (the official) and Bethel Cycle Team (knats).

I think that anonymous meant "gnats". But a TWC rider (S Gray) won the 40+ today at Bethel with no help from the Gnats. The only swarm was from Keltic. They got 3rd?
Way to go to another TWC rider, "Dr. W", aka "red-headed stepson", for winning the "4" race today. See you all Tuesday.
