With the weekend off from racing I took the opportunity to get together with some of the boys. We did my old dirt road ride in the Watertown area . The ride was a virtual who's who Mike , Jeeves , Ciocci , LT , and me . We started out in Middlebury at ex 17 , after a nice warm up we hit the first of many climbs to come . We rolled along at a good tempo until we hit the first sector of dirt . I hit it hard and Ciocci was right one me until we hit a wet hairpin . (Ciocci you must respect the dirt) Once you get off that sector you have a stiff climb thats leads to the 2nd sector which is long and a gradual climb . The boys soon got the drift that it was going to be up and down all day long . The sad part of the ride was that much of the dirt is gone , shortened or graded . All in all we had a good time no flats or crashes . When we got back the first words out of LT mouth were , yep you guessed it. Let's go eat . Its good to see that some things don't change . When I got home I took my bike off the car and went to roll it in the house and I could feel the rear wheel dragging into the brakes . Robyn and I went to Zanes to drop it off to get trued , that place is packed every time I go there . Tom tryed to true quick for me but said it would take some time to fix (nice) . Hope I have good legs for the Zane's Sunday ride . I hate being tried on that ride . Theres always some Sunday warrior that's looking to "drop" us . Tempo fellas tempo.
