I rode out to Stop & Shop to meet Mike . By the time I got to the park I had 2 hours in . I didn't know what to expect so I thought the best defence was to go to the front right off the bat . The wind was going to be a factor on the way out so its best to be at the front you never know when someone will open a gap. The ride was fast and at the Ski slope Kurtie , Crowell and Petey got a little gap . With the wind and the distance to the turnaround I figured we would catch them if we just kept the pressure on . We came up on Kurtie and Crowell at the turnaround , and Mike put in a good dig on the hill . Over the top I turned the screw and E started to work with me . OK lets hear it Crowell & co , we didn't run 1 light and Big Johnny didnt motor pace us . John did trip the light for us but that was about it . We were out of site by that point anyway . We just put are heads down and just tryed to stay around 27mph the whole way in . When I hit rt 10 I had 3 hours in and was feeling it . I just dug in , once I got a good breatherover the hill and we just milled it in. Ride time was 1:20 . The way home I hit the wall hard though . 4+ hours and 75 miles . I cant wait to here the bubble tails , bring it on . A side note Big Johnny you are off Robyn's Christmas card list .

Sorry Robyn, I didn't mean to startle you when squeezing into the peloton for an approaching car. I was trying to keep it safe today while giving the peloton some experience doing a bit of motopacing. It was difficult today with all the wind, and having a big engine makes it tough to keep a constant pace. But then again, you had a number of recent bad incidences with motorcycles [1.) Slapped on your #@% and 2.) knocked off your bike in a triathlon] so I can understand the reaction. Please add me back to the list.
And yes, I agree with Ron's assessment, I didn’t motopace he and Eric as they galloped away from the bunch. In fact, Curt Davis was really pissed off today that I was 'disrupting the pace' for the boys. Since this was my today's goal, I guess I'll take that as a compliment. :-)…………
Hey Nick, please point out Rondo's grammatical errors for us.
John,
Thanks for not slaping me on my ass. I will give you points for that and I guess you are back on my CC list, your too cute not to be on it.
Robyn
the winter ride has gotten marshmellow soft.
I think I might give up on pointing out Ronglish. I actually think it's all an act at this point. I mean, no one could actually be that bad.

File and folder Nick
I can vouch for the 27 mph pace (with no assistance). You two blew by me on the way back (after I took a short-cut) and I never did see the peleton. Good job!

Lets see here. Rondo is very defensive in his write-up. If you did not get any lights to help you get away, then why bring it up in the first place. All I know is that I watched you and Eric ride off into the distance while the rest of us were sitting at a light. You also had a nice tail wind.

Why is Crowell wearing a vegamite kit?
Note: Barely
Crowell I was just trying to nip all the usual half ass comments from you and your clown looking friends in the bud .
He's a veagen
Hey! Wait a minute, Rondo. Get your facts straight. Crowell's friends don't just look like clowns.
Nick
OK side show freaks also
Sorry to disturb this highly intelligent conversation but what is the plan to get around the closed Route 42 on Sunday?
I say we go the normal way and find away through it .
There's a fundraiser for Officer Brian Spiotti, occasional participant in the Sleeping Giant peleton, on Sunday, Nov. 22, 12-6 pm at The Red Door, 675 Main St., Watertown. Donations are $25. Call (203)206-0835 for TKTS or info.
You can ask Rondo or me in person on Sunday about the reason for the fundraising.
Pete J
We could always take the bike trail and then go left onto 42 and a right onto Mountain Rd...
Rondo you caught me on camera! My smile looks nice anyway!!
