11/29

T - day throwdown !!! I met E at 8am for the ride out to see the Bubble ballbags at Stop & Shop . There was more than usual out , they must be trying to work off all the sweets they ate on Thursday . Crowell was looking extra plump , a slice not the whole pie dude . The ride down to the park was iffy . There were a ton of people walking on the trail . The ride started out nice and slow except for Josh & Guido with a few others in tow . They went romping off the front right from the get go . So much for the neutral start Guido . On the back roads we started to pick up the riders that got shot out of the "move" . The pace was picking up . It really makes me laugh when guys try to attack a pace line moving along at 30 mph what are you going to ride at 40 for the next hour ? When we got to the light at rt 68 there was no sign off Guido & Josh they got a nice gap in are slow start . That was good with me I wanted to ride hard anyway . The group was strung out until we hit the light after the industrial park where we saw the escapes . They made the light but for some reason Guido waited for us . Whats the matter Guido , did you not believe in the break or was Josh going to hard for you ? The sad thing is that we started to go easy again and let Josh get another huge gap . The pace started to pick up again at the ski slope . The pace was hot when we hit the false flat at the shooting range . I hit the front with about 200 meters to go to the top and thought it would be a good place to launch an attack . I got free with Brain G , Crowell and Hunter . Brain and I pushed the pace for a couple of turns when Hunter comes thorough like 4 mph faster than everyone else and then blows . GOOD JOB TARD !! He let a gap open between the BBoys and us so I let him try to close the gap . I waited until I knew he was cooked then I jumped across to the dynamic duo . Then Brain rode himself out of the break after a long pull and a Crowell increase in speed . Nice going bro you dropped your teammate . Oh that's right you don't ride as a team on Sundays . The two of us kept it going as we approached the turn around hill when just at the corner I saw that Petey had come across the gap . I motioned him through but he just shook his head no . That's when thing's started to unravel . Crowell wanted him to work and was getting caught up in it , I was like don't worry about him he cooked anyway . I saw a group coming across and knew this was going to be some much needed man power . The problem was the field respond to them and a merging was eminent . I thought about attacking at the top of the hill to see if I could get something going again but with the new light at Lowe's I figured it was futile . With Josh back in the field the pace settled in . The ride in was tempo at best . Koski and a BB went for the S&S sprint and then made the lights . They rolled in a few seconds before us . I have to give a big thumbs up to Robyn for toughing out the ride on her new bike and new position on it . I know how much that sucks . Good job .

As promised Guido in lederhosen . I bet you thought I couldnt get it Guido .

Robyn,
Please tell me that you had Zanes put your new bike together. I would hope that you would have better sense than to ride a bike that Rondo "built".

Chris,

Rondo actually put together the bike in one hour flat and it rides great! A big thanks to John Gregory for giving me a nice big push back into the pack.
THanks,
Robyn

PS. I think all the guys on the ride next week should wear lederhosen.

I give it two weeks before it falls apart. I just hope Robyn isn't on it at the time.

You can't even type "whogivesafuck.net" correctly! Were you educated by gypsies, or did you parents drop you on your head?
