I went to the Sunday ride thinking that there would be a few people out there . I guess the scene ain't what it use to be . I left from S&S Silent Steve was the only one who showed up to ride . Miguel was there with Rose but left his balls at home. We rolled down to the Giant expecting someone to be there . The lot was empty , we waited for a few minutes then split . The way down was with the wind at our backs so it wasn't to bad but when we hit rt10 it was a whole new ball game . The wind and snow was head on . I started to ride hard to keep warm . Steve was up for the pace so that was our day on the rivet from start to finish . When we got to the Ski slope the wind and snow were pretty bad . First it was right to left then in a split second it was left to right . I will say this we have done the ride in much worse . I think that the false flat by the shooting range was the worst the wind almost stoped me dead in my tracks . I knew that once we hit the turnaround the rest would be cake . We tacked up the hill and got blown in the rest of the way . All in all it was a good day Hats off to Silent Steve he gets the snow flake award .

Like Mig, I did the gym thing too. No matter how hard I try, I can't get the HR on a spinning bike anywhere near where my HR gets going up the hill after the golf course on the Sunday ride. For that matter, my AVERAGE HR on the Sunday ride is higher than my max HR on any indoor trainer. What a waste of time. Got more out of the swim afterwards.
But, rondo, give me a small flake for gettin' in 78 m on Jan. 1. Saw no one out.

Rondo and Silent Steve??
We all know that Rondo MUST ride every Sunday since Robyn kicks his ass out of the house, but what is Steve's reason?
Personally, I stayed home on account of the snow. Cold and wind are acceptable, but getting all the gear ready for the ride and then driving 20 minutes to arrive at the S&S to find out that the roads are not rideable would be a total waste of time.

I desperately needed that ride after my shitty ride last Sunday and spending the week in Stowe with no bike and temps down to -16 on Wednesday. 18 and windy really wasn't that bad and the only time I lost traction was standing on the pedals going uphill. You guys missed an epic ride.

He was probably riding with one hand on the bars and the other holding his coffee cup.
