3/22/10

This past weekend as from HELL for me. On Saturday Robyn and I went to Branchbrook park in NJ, we were both hacking hard on the way down. She hasn't raced for 2 weeks and I missed last week, so we decided to suck it up and just race. The team wanted to give LT a lead out in a bunch gallop. It was going to be E coming out of the last corner and then me for a long pull with Mike punching him clear. The race was fast and nothing seemed like it was going to stay away but late in the race a move of 5 or 6 went clear, it was one of those moves that just rolled off the front E and Mike were all over the front of the race all day and I was like sitting in the 15 spot when the move went I watched it go, in retrospect I should have jumped right on it but I waited until we turned into the tail wind. Big mistake I chased and got to like 50 meters off the back of the group and kind of throttled back because it looked like they were sitting up.One of the guys looked back and must have seen the gap they had and hit it hard, so my easy bridge went out the door. My lungs were on FIRE at this point anyway so if I did make it I don't know if I would have been able to stay with them. When the pack came up to me it was to late the race was over. I lost interest there is no use sprinting for scraps if you ask me, plus it felt like I had an elephant on my chest. Now on to Bethel, E and Kioski were going to police the front the first part of the race and Mike was going to look for a move at some point. The wind was in a weird direction so we thought a break would go. I was feeling like ass so I did what I could, E rode well and LT was on fire he got in a move with Jeff Buckles and another strong guy late Mike and I were like perfect and let it go up the road. I was on the front looking for something that might try to go across, and with 2 laps to go T came out of the break. Kyle Wolf and I put in a big dig along the back stretch and up the hill but it was to late the move wasn't coming back. on the last lap I was at the back coughing up what was left of my last lung and saw Mike up front by himself T saw the same thing and we started riding like mad men to get to the front to help. We got to the back of Mike's wheel at the bottom of the hill "Fuck me man" the pack shifts right real hard and sure enough the crash comes. Mike had to pause for a second, to not get caught up in it I had to stop out right. Mike got going again and picked off a spot but lost the Jersey by 1 point. Hopefully next week I will have some strength back, I definitely flogged my self this week so it can go one way or the other we will see.

That crash sucked! Happened right infront of me. I stopped rightaway and waited with Matt. Matt from Stage One got the worst of it. Two broken ribs and some bad whiplash.

What's a "floder"? Is that what happens to you when you try and reach a break and fail? You just "flod" around by yourself for awhile before the pack comes screaming by you.

How about getting beat be a fat Mike Norton. Or how about this toad boy, sprint right into the back of someone and get taken away in a meat-wagon? I have seen two crashes this year at Bethel and the bubble fags were involved with both you do the math. Good luck in the 40+ cat 3/4 race. Do you have to have a beer belly to enter that race?

P.S. If it doesnt have my google sign in then its not me.

For your information, Rondo, Matt did not run into the back of anyone. He got hit from the side while riding (what was) a clean line up the hill during the sprint.

I don't think a Stage1 guy caused the crash a couple of weeks ago either. Some of the guys were involved in its aftermath though. Unfortunately, bubbles don't float over large objects laying in the road.

Good idea asking Crowell to "do the math" for you though. With the way you type and spell, I can only imagine what the fuck you'd do on a calculator!

The 2/3/4 race is open to all ages now so why don't you show your ass at Plainville and beat fatty and the bubble boy instead of talking stupid shit?
