I went to S&S to meet the boys today. I had a long day yesterday so I didn't want to do 65miles. When I got to the lot, low and behold Nick was there. I thought he moved to China or something. I caught up with him for a few then got ready to roll. The ride down the bike path was hairy. I wont be shocked when one of us run somebody over. At the park there were a few missing guys, and some old faces to. Most noticeable was a bodybuilder sized Chappy. The ride started out pretty easy. I had a nice chat with special Ed, then I realized that we were just about to the notch. The false flat after the chicane saw a Guido, Crowell attack move off the front. True to form the bubble fags started to chase. Some things never change! It was all back together before the industrial park. The tempo was hard to the light, but as usual it was red. Next on the route map was the dirt. I moved up so not to get caught behind any chum. We hit the sector and Crowell was on the front with MCG LT the me. 50 meters in I slammed into a hole and my bars dropped about 2 inches. I kept my place in line until we left the sector. Then I dropped back and was trying to push them back up. The field broke in two, I was in the second group with all the heavy hitters. The groups were going to connect so I wasn't worried. Then Mahoney started to open a gap, I thought to myself he opened it he can close it. Guys went into panic mode. Chappy killed it to get across with a few others. I just sat in the wheels and let them do the work. It felt like I was riding Robyn's bike. With my bars pointed down my stem went from a 120 to a 90. When the groups connected they slowed up and the 3rd group caught on with ease. The turnaround climb sucked with my bars all fucked up. Nothing great happened over the top. When we got down the bottom of the hill it was all together. When we went though the light in Milldale a group made the arrow light and got a 5 second gap. That move went nowhere when we got the light at the train trestle I got an allen key from Zeroff and fixed my bars. The ride back to the park was pretty easy nothing to rave about. The ride was just the right pace for a cold day in October. It was nice to grab Coffee and cakes with the boys after. Chappy never disappoints with the laughs. Good to see Mike hang two weeks in a row. I knew you could do it big guy!!

Rondo,
It was great catching up. Having friends like you makes me realize just how shitty my enemies actually are! Now if I can just start catching up to the peleton again, I'll be OK.
Nick
P.S. The ride took 88 minutes to complete, Nick did it in 120 minutes.
Charming question

FYI,
Residents can expect to see fresh pavement throughout October.
Parts of the following streets will be done: Brooksvale Avenue,...
Thanks for the update. I really hate the dirt patches.
Welcome back Nick!!! You were greatly missed and it's nice to hear you are back riding.
See you Sunday!!
Robyn
Rondo is getting soft.
Coffee and Cakes?!?!?
I remember when Ron would rather eat glass and shit nails then be caught chatting up the competition after a training ride.
I would have to agree with you Anon about breaking bread with the competition. They would be competition if they raced.
If I knew that the coffee shop had that frosted cinnamon bun, I would have done it in 110 minutes.
Nick
Hey you two, get a room!!!
