Well the last ride of the year was a dusie! With the threat of a nor'easter Robyn and went to S&S to meet the bubble fags and McG. When we got there Miguel showed up and was none to happy with the weather but with a little verbal bashing form Robyn he caved and got ready to ride. The group was small McG, Crowell, SS, LT and Koski on a mtb. The snow hadn't started yet but you could tell it was on its way. When we got to the park there was only E and CX Chris there. Wow don't you guys know that the first race is 4 months away! As we pulled out Hacker showed up and we picked up Chris B on the back roads. On the way down we decided that we would keep it tempo and not let anyone get dropped. Crowell and E were the first to break the truce. The field just let them go so kudos to us for not getting sucked in. I got a flat before we pasted rt42. My fucking fingers were frozen after that. We had a decent pace line going, everyone was rolling through so that was nice. There is not much to say about the ride it was the right pace for the weather and time of the year. The wind was dead in our faces and it was whiping. I will say this it was a three out of three for the Zane's squad. Mike blew by a over confident Crowell at the turnaround sprint. Then E took the S&S sprint Crowell was on the short end of that one to. The ride in to Hamden was uneventful. After some jostling back and forth I took the finial prize. Zane's 3 Crowell 0. On the way back to the parking lot my rear hub started to lock up I had to jump on the pedals to free it up. I hope Ciocci can fix it because I don't want to break out my new D-Ace carbons in the shit weather. The coffee and cakes went down nice after the cold ride back. Robyn got a good photo while riding back on the path in the snow.
