Only the tough ride in the snow. I went out to S&S to meet the guys. Knowing that E was moving and the rest of the New Haven crew were PUSSY'S I would be on my own. There were five men there McG, Crowell, Silent Steve, MTB Man and yours truly. We flew down to the park kinda knowing that nobody would be there. We waited till 10 and headed out. The wind was unbelievable, the roads wernt that bad though. The five men set a nice pace 18-20 mph into a 25+ mph cross headwind. We hit the back roads and they had snow on them but it was soft and you just road right through it. I took the lead on these sections, I have a lot of experience on riding snow covered roads. I set a pace that was just on the edge of being in control and still getting a good workout in. Once we got to the light at rt68 the roads were just wet and we were clear to ride as hard as we could. The wind was are only foe now. Everyone took there turn at the front some taking longer pulls than others but everyone did what they could. It was funny the wind would come from the left then you would get a gust form the right at about 35mph for 200 meters. I was trying to echelon but with the wind changing directions it was a problem. There were a couple of times the wind almost brought us to a stand still. By the ski slope we were soaked and with the wind, my dick was starting to get cold. If that has ever happened to you you know what I mean. Mike took a long pull up the false flat then I took one to the turnaround. When we hit the tailwind my tool was frozen. Crowell offered to warm it for me but I think that Robyn would get mad so I declined. With the wind at our backs now we had an easy ride back. When we got back to S&S we pulled in got dressed and had coffee and cakes. The coffee always tastes better after a hard ride. Just a little fact guys the avg age of the guys that showed up was 45. That's pretty sad, back in the day there would have been at least 25 guys there. For all that didn't show up put a little Vagisil on it, the rash will go away in about a week. I don't want to hear about quality of your work out either. You got a shit workout compared to us.

I'm impressed by you morons. Although last time I checked, success as a bike rider isn't gauged by the ability go out in the nastiest conditions. Next time ron goes to the Carolinas or when mike goes to california, we'll know who to call pussies. I went out at one yesterday and rode on mostly dry roads and went twice as far and hard as you dumb dumbs.

Sounds like you had a great ride all by yourself Annon. I bet you rode your training bike too. You would hate to get your race bike dirty. ? Is when was the the last time you raced? I know Bethel is to early and you don't like the wet spring races. Then it's to hot in July and fall races are stupid. So I guess that leaves the Sunday ride with your cat5 pals. I bet you win all the time.
