3/29/11
Wow I got out at 3 yesterday and pretty much slept until 8am this morning. Enough of that, yesterday started out with the 7am consult and they told me I was getting moved to a new room and would be there for 3 days. They needed to transition me form femoral to cumadin. At 10 they said get ready they were cleaning a room for me. I wouldn't have to have all the wires and attached to me so I wasn't complaining. Then at 11 the doctor came in and asked if I would be able to give myself an injection. If you guys don't know I am petrified of needles. She saw the look on my face and said that would be the only way I could go home. My reply was absolutely! Then I asked when would this be? The reply right now. When I asked what was up I got a cryptic reply. My end goal here is to go to Columbia hospital in NYC and get a stint put in. They cant say that because its a competing hospital. Now I'm not being put on cumadin I will stay on femoral, you cant be operated on with cumadin in your system. It takes days for it to leave your system. She told me to call Dr Schindler for a referral to a neurologist at Columbia. This is were the cryptic comes into play, I read into this as I will go there and get the surgery ASAP. Who knows though time will tell.

Hey Rondo: The ride is not the same without you. Things seem to be moving fast. Please keep us up to date as best as you can. Godspeed!

Hey Rondo,
Stay positive. Stay angry too. I actually think you thrive on anger, so it'll help you get through this. If you'd like, we can have a poster-size picture made up of Crowell. You could hang it on the wall in front of your hospital bed in NYC.

Can you imagine that!! Fucking scary man, how does his wife do it?

Ron...I have been checking your blog frequently for updates, putting myself in danger of Big Brother catching me (my school's Web filter thinks your site is BAD for some reason?) and slapping my wrist.
Just wanted you to know I'm silently out here pulling for you.
