Bethel week 1

E and I headed up early so I could watch Robyn race. She was going to double up doing the woman's then the 45+ race. Robyn sprinted in for 2nd place in the woman's race. It was raining pretty hard while she raced so I'm sure they were all cold so she bailed on the second race. See her race report on the Zane's cycling blog later today. When it was our turn to roll it was pouring out. We warmed up by doing about 4laps.There were about 20 guys on the start line. Don't let the quantity fool you there was a quality field there. When we were waiting for the race to start I noticed that the Kenda guy was shivering out of control. I pointed it out to E and told him we should hit it when they said go. I thought E was going to attack but when we turned the first corner and he still hadn't attacked I decide to do it my self. I put my head down and didn't look back until I got to the glass building and guess who was on my wheel? You guessed it the great pumpkin him self. I giggled to myself because I knew that I was going to twist him on the climb. I got caught at the top of the climb but the field eased up so I went again even harder than the last time. I had a good gap but when I went over the hill 4 guys went by on the opposite side of the road I saw that E was on it so I waited for the field. The gap grew and the break of the day was gone. We just sat 4th or 5th wheel for the rest of the race not getting in the way of the guys that were chasing. (AKA BLOCKING) The break lapped us with 6 to go and we got the OK to work with them so we threw away are chances for 4th place and drove the race for E. The V8 splash guy won and E got second Linden got 3rd. Oh yeah Timmmmyyyy got lap on the 7th lap. I will not speak of him anymore on my blog until he brings some fitness to the table. Picking on him at this point is like shooting fish in a barrel. Until next week Fuck You!!!!!
