Wow the year is almost over, THANK GOD!! To say that 2011 has been a shitty year for me would be an understatement. I just got done with my second week of a 4 week macro-cycle. With that said I didn't know how my legs would be. When I left for the ride I felt good and knew that I would have a good ride. I met E and tall guy Jim at the cafe. We spotted the squirrel a few minutes then got on are way. The wind was at our backs so it was a nice easy ride to the park. When we got there the brothers Foley were there and that was it. People started to trickle in then the S&S guys showed up. After they did there buttfucking or whatever they do in the bathrooms we got going. The ride started out pretty fast, not surprising due to the tail wind. There were a lot of tailwind hero's up front setting pace. Then a small group rolled off. We had E and Koski up there so Mike and I just sat in. They never got more than 10 seconds and were back at the top of the hill after rt42. The ride stayed steady until the chicane, that's when our old friend Krusty the Crowell started to yell at Pete Kenny for not going fast enough. Krusty took off, a group formed and joined him (MCG, E, Hunter, Kyle Foley and Guido). I just sat on the front, but the pack would not allow them to go. At the light after the industrial park they were back in the fold. At the top of the hill before the ski slope a group of guys got a slight gap Pete Kenny little guy Rick and Chris from laurel. I rode across to them thinking the pack was on me but after taking a pull I saw we had a gap. I knew that there wasn't enough horse power to stay away so I sat on and waited for the field. I saw Hunter coming across so when he got on I went to the front. Hunter and I pulled away on the false flat before the shooting range. Once over the top I saw Foley just in front of us. I didn't know he was up the road but it made a nice trio. We kept the hammer down all the way to the turnaround, I thought the field would concede the hill top sprint and then brig us back. I rode with that tactic in mind but when we got over the top and looked back they were know where in site. We got the light at Lowes and talked about what we should do and Hunter wanted to press on, so we did. When your off the front you try to size up who is strong and who isn't. Its usually pretty cut and dry but with the headwind, one of us would seem to be the strongest and then someone else would be the hammer. The wind was horrible on the way in there were times on rt 10 we were going 18mph and we were all in. Hunter pulled off at the bottom of the S&S hill but luckily we picked up Guido who had a mec and took the short cut. We kept it steady all the way back to the Giant. When the New Haven group got to us at the park we were told that Krusty the Crowell was flipping out that the Zanes guys wouldn't chase. Chasing down your own teammates is a bubble boy thing Krusty. I heard that he did console himself with a giant piece of Lemon-loaf though. OK now I'm going to make it so we don't have to read the first few comments:
