Wow what a ride!!!!

I met up with McG and the guys at S&S after some early miles. On the way down to the park we had some close calls. Robyn got elbowed by an old lady who thought that she needed more of the path. At the park there were more than the usual amount of people there. I guess the nice weather brings them out. The ride left into a pretty good headwind so the pace was slow. Out of nowhere a piece of 1 by 3 wood was laying on the floor. I hit it and I kept hearing bikes rolling over it. Then the inevitable someone went down. It was Dave the spitter and Todd. The pack pulled over while they sorted things out. When we got going again and Dave's bike was shot. True to form Krusty took off. The pace stayed steady and he came back due to the wind more than the pace. The wind played a big factor on the ride no one was willing to press the pace to hard. Guess what happened next? If you guessed that Krusty attacked again you would be right. Once again he came back on his own. When we got to the ski slope Big Johnny and Todd too off with Thomas. After the false flat Thomas came back and it was just the two fixed gear guys up the road. They quickly got out of site. At the turnaround Krusty attacked and I went across I had planed to go up the hill hard. Once over the top we were in between the break and pack (AKA) no mans land. We pressed on but with the wind at our backs the field was on us after the Milldale turn. The two fixies were right in front of us know and a group went right after them. They made it through the light just as we were going to make contact. Once through the light Krusty and Steve Grey went after the break. The field stayed steady and we real them in slowly and by the S&S. With a few guys taking some chances at the lights a new group formed. The field caught back on after the high school. The ride in was the same old same old. Another one down in the books.

To top things off, ask John Gregory about his brand new Bianci that is now split in two after he drove into his garage with the bike still on the car roof rack.

OUCH!!! Bad day for bikes!
